Left Center Post
     Water traveling down from the tie beam and any other leaks in the area has rotted the lefthand centerpost and the connection to the girt beam (main horizontal beam between the first and second floors). The girt was left unsupported by the post.

     The loss of post support for the girt shifted the force to the sheathing. This necessitated the installation of a brace as shown above and the area was blocked off from the inside by a temporary wall which further supported the second floor.
